Athlete Registration

INAS SIVUS India ("SIVUS India") collects and processes your personal data to manage athlete eligibility for persons with intellectual impairments competing in para-sport. This notice is provided in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). What data we collect: We collect your name, date of birth, gender, contact details, address, photographs, medical and psychological assessment reports, disability certificates, and any other documents required for the eligibility process. For minors (under 18), we also collect guardian/parent information. Why we process your data: Your personal data is processed for the purpose of determining your eligibility for national and international para-sport competitions, generating your SIVUS ID, communicating with you about your application status, facilitating event registrations, and complying with requirements set by Virtus (the international governing body). With your separate consent, we may share your data with Virtus for international eligibility processing. Data sharing and retention: Your data may be shared with authorized state administrators, eligibility staff, psychologists involved in your assessment, and (with your consent) Virtus for international eligibility. We retain your data for the duration of your active eligibility plus 5 years, or as required by applicable law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by visiting your account settings or contacting our Data Protection Officer at [email protected].
